Traditional Twin Japanese Sais These twin chrome octagonal sais are a great addition to any collection. These particular sais are steel chrome with black and golden wrappings around the handle. They measure approximately 19 inches long - each side prong being approximately 4 inches long. The center prong is 12 inches in length. Japanese sais were farm impliments used to measure grooves in the process of planting seeds. They also doubled as defensive weapons used against sword-wielders. One skilled in the use of the sai could easily catch an enemy sword blade between the prongs of the sai and with a quick twist of the wrist...break the swords blade.
